ARBORETUM is a future comic/future visual novel/future podcast/ current 40+ page google document with 7~ years of drawing, growing, and writing behind it.
We follow MILO QUINLAVIN and SERAPH, two 20 somethings wrapped up in their own dramas. MILO, a 21 year old trans woman, was raised by her violent and neglectful single father on the edge of her small town Molyvos. In the Spring of 2023, Milo fled into the nearby forest after her father threatened her with a knife. Once inside, she finds that the stories told to scare off rowdy children are true: there is another world of magic and monsters between the trees. SERAPH, a 21 year old bird bug angel thing, has lived in the forest its whole life. It has a mission: eradicate the use of magic from the Forest to prevent anything like itself from being created again. Together with DAGGER, a 48 year old woman that took Seraph under her watch after its community was destroyed at 16, they train together to bring an end to magic.
